shanona little bit about Miss Hilda De La Rosa, aka shanon's grandmother and killing her husband
this was from a skype convo and i am just editing and piecing it together to be more descriptive
okay so a bit of backstory because i have never actually fully written shanon's but i dont intend to in THIS journal entry as i want to keep this mostly about her grandmother and her motive for killing her husband
shanon lived with her father who lived with his parents because he is a single teen father, shanon's mother died when she was born from internal bleeding after going into labor, so shanon was raised by her grandmother for the most part, the rest i will put into shanon's actual backstory but i just wanted to mention that she lived with her grandparents as it is relevant to the events!
i was thinking more about hilda killing her husband my friend and i thought maybe shed do it and no one would know but HONESTLY, like she might be manipulative and conniving but like she kind of messy, especially if shes angry, like.. her, her son, and shanon all kind of act on the same impulsive blind rage type of anger and i don't see her really going about murdering someone in a calculated way, like she would prolly stab him to death too i can see her being one of those ppl who kill n get a sexual thrill out of it, she is definitely a disorganized killer (ty annuska lmao CLEARLY we watch too much criminal minds) ESPECIALLY if she found out about him raping n molesting shanon she would DEFINITELY stab him to death like overkill, shed prolly stab him in places that don't kill him first too like in the legs and just come up to him n go ham
and i think shed take a lot of aggression out like that too bc she always kind of was suspicious even tho she was drunk n doesn't pay attention n forgets a lot of shit but like.. its rly obvious when really young kids have been abused and im sure there are Things that didn't sit right with her but she was prolly to drunk at the time to think much of it and because of her drinking she was negligent in watching over shanon and shanon's father wasn't around much due to the fact that he worked a lot and hilda is not fond of having to take care of her own son and his daughter for thirteen years, like shanon's father said it would probably only be a year and he would move out or something but he never had enough money to sustain living on his own with her, like i originally had it where shanon and her father DID move out but i dont think so, shanon just got taken into "foster care" after her suicide attempt since social services were already on their back after how many times she's gotten in trouble at school and gone to juvie and that was probably the final straw
so, she just was prolly Sober for a min one day n it crossed her mind n she kept thinking about it and confronted her husband about it and like im sure shanon was not the first or last in fact he prolly wouldn't even deny it or hide it from her he's demented and doesn't care
so yeah, i don't know if it's clear yet what exactly she's going to be charged with as she probably didn't talk much and was in shock about it, and i think with that investigation the other shit with her landlord fraud probably came up as well, and due to her not speaking she didn't mention why she killed him in her trial as she clearly is very shaken up and mentally unstable from the ordeal? like i don't think she ever pictured herself in this situation and kind of goes into a fugue state which is typically uncharacteristic of her otherwise but i think that she just breaks entirely, i feel like her son probably called the cops because i mean what else do you do if you come home to THAT?? and he knows that his parents fought a lot and always hated each other, and his mother has always been resentful towards him and his father was abusive but not in the way he was towards shanon, which he also has no idea about so he is probably not wanting to talk about it either, hilda probably goes to a psych unit for awhile until she finally speaks and ends up with a good lawyer who probably gets her with at least manslaughter and not straight up murder
idk if she will even tell shanon about the killing when they are together (i imagine she's been locked up awhile and before shanon gets there) i feel like after some time passes she reverts back to kind of being "herself"
